British
progressive rock bands have long been amongst the most popular the
world over. The music is as timeless as classical music and is finding
a new army of fans who are rediscovering bands such as Genesis,
Barclay James Harvest, King Crimson,Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull etc.
Chalice ( as yet an unsigned band) for lack of a better description,
are considered a progressive rock band, but do not consider
categorising is necessary. Melodic rock or AOR music is just as
suitable, for as far as they are concerned, they just play music that
conveys emotion and drama and allows the listener a higher sense of
involvement. Their CD entitled " Back to Back" is currently
being promoted and the band is busy rehearsing new material for 2002
gigs.
